I am a London-born fabricator with a specialism in sculptural artwork. Since relocating to Brighton I have now created South Coast Metal Fabrication where we produce high end metal products for UK based businesses and private clients
Previously in London I was the Senior Fabricator & Production/Workshop manager at Joe Waller Fabrications. Where we made high-end artwork for a wealth of prestigious artists to the highest degree of finish. The complexity of the work required a high level of creative problem solving, complex MIG & TIG welding, wood and metal-working, engineering and machining skills.
As Senior Fabricator I was tasked with fabricating the most complex sculptures brought to us. It was necessary for me to take on the role of production manager and then workshop manager alongside my fabricator role, to help facilitate the smooth running of the workshop and projects. We fabricated, finished and installed large sculptures across the UK, completing projects to the highest level of finish.
My experience in fabrication is wide-ranging in both materials and skills. I started my career as a carpenter on film and theatre set builds and have progressed through metal forming, welding and finishing, to mold-making, casting and even foundry work and now back round to woodwork once again. Making is my passion and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning all these skills and investigating new ways of making things.
In summary. I'm a highly qualified wood and metalworker with strong abilities to take on project and workshop managerial roles
