I take a lot of photos, but making art is how I actually slow down and enjoy one. Lately I’ve been using my iPhone photos as references—starting with light + shadow, then building with contrast and soft pencil.
These two were from Dolores Park, SF during the Easter Hunky Jesus Contest—me and Tommy caught in a bright little moment.
I’ll share the finished art piece later (my builds usually take 2–3 days).
