Under the Patio Shed

Under the Patio Shed

I sketched this over a photo of me and my husband while we were planning Halloween 2025—sitting outside at a neighborhood breakfast spot on Divisadero Street, under one of those COVID-era patio sheds. The sun was out, it felt easy, and I just wanted to unwind.

The season (and our neighborhood’s poster chaos) did the rest: flyers on flyers, yard sale signs, black-and-white invites, art events with QR codes—posters taped and wrapped around street poles everywhere.

I showed Tommy the first pass and he smiled—like a quiet “yes, keep going.”

It’s still unfinished, but I’m coming back to build the color layers next.

Question: Do you share your work-in-progress messy… or hide it until it’s “done”?
